Guerino Alfano

Alfano, Guerino (longtime member of local 46 Plumbers Union) – peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, July 03, 2011 at Sunnybrook Health Centre in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Antonina for 39 years. Loving father of Enrico (Gina) and John Paul ( Christine). Devoted nonno of Roman. Dear brother of Vince, Dora Cortese, Maria Arturi, Luigi, Serafino and Joe. Guerino will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. A special thank you to all the doctors and nurses in the DWing 6th floor for their constant support and care during his battle with cancer. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Monday from 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard de Clairvaux Church, 1789 Lawrence Ave. W on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Westminster Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Odette Cancer Centre C/O Sunnybrook Foundation would be appreciated.
