Gracia Amirthanathan, loving mother of Indrakumari, Parathakumar (Tony) and Thasarathakumar, passed away peacefully in her 92nd year in Woodbridge, Ontario Canada. She was the adored mother-in-law of Joseph Marianayagam (Nathan), Sharmaine and Jansi.
Born in Sillalai, Sri Lanka she was the daughter of late Soosaipillai and Isithorammah; daughter-in-law of late Sebastiampillai and Anasi; beloved wife of late S. Amirthanathan ( Colombo Port Commission); sister of late S. Anthonimutthu and sister-in-law of late Ponnammah, Johnpillai, Anthonipillai, Reverend Br. Mariampillai and Reverend Sr. Lucy.
Gracia is survived by her adoring grandchildren Mainthan, Michael, Ian, Mark, Harjini Amutheesan and Kishore and great-grandchildren Aneesh, Ajean and Ashini.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway # 7,Woodbridge, ON L4L 1S6 from 6-9 pm on Thursday (September 28, 2017) and Friday (September 29, 2017). The Funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St Margaret Mary Catholic Church at 8500 Islington Avenue, Woodbridge, ON followed by burial at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 7300 Highway # 27, Woodbridge, ON.
