Passed away peacefully in Toronto on Thursday February 27 2014 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Maria. Loving father of Rainer. Survived by his sister Karola Messerhuber. Predeceased by his parents Gottlieb and Elisabeth and his sisters Maria and Elizabeth. The family will receive friends at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Tuesday March 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will take place in the Ward Chapel on Wednesday March 5th at 11:00 am. Interment to take place at Prospect Cemetery. If desired donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
