Giuseppina Romita

Passed away peacefully after spending time with her loved ones on Thursday February 19, 2026 at the age of 88. Devoted wife of the late Giuseppe. Proud mother of Vito (Rina), Lucia and Maria. Cherished Nonna of Joseph (Alessia), Daniel and Melissa. Giuseppina will be sadly missed by her siblings Rosa, Giovanni and Isabella and her brother in-law Frank (Margaret). She will be fondly remembered by her many family and friends.

Giuseppina has been reunited with the love of her life Giuseppe and her siblings Domenica, Antonietta, Angela and Giuseppe.

Born in the quaint town of Modugno Bari, Italy to parents Emanuel and Maria Pentrelli.

It was in this small town that she would meet her soul mate. Giuseppe was just a couple of months older than Giuseppina. A handsome young man who caught her attention who she adored ever since.

In 1967 the couple with two young children made their long journey up through Italy to board a ship to sail to the harbor of Halifax. Finally making their way to Toronto and years later welcomed their third child.

Giuseppe and Giuseppina worked hard to build a life for their family. They cherished their trips together.

Giuseppina enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her brothers and sisters. Her family was her life and nothing would bring a smile to her face like the one that would appear when her grandchildren were around.
