Giuseppina Iannuzziello

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Giuseppina Iannuzziello, at the age of 96, on September 21, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on May 30, 1929, in Cercepiccola, Campobasso, Italy, Giuseppina immigrated to Toronto, Canada, at the age of 24, where she married Alfonso and together they built a family. A woman of remarkable resilience and devotion, she lived a long and fulfilling life centered on family and love. She was predeceased by many dear relatives of her generation.

She leaves behind her loving children Angela, Danny (Jeannie), and Franco. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Juliana (Adrian), Jessica (Teo), and Robert, as well as her great-granddaughter, Mazzy. She shared countless happy—and often funny—memories with her extended family of nephews and nieces in both Toronto and Italy, and was affectionately known as “Zia” to many.

Giuseppina will be remembered for her unwavering strength and joyful spirit. Though she faced difficult times, she taught us to find a kernel of laughter in any situation. Devoted to family, she took great pride in keeping her loved ones close—often through her cavatelli—while sharing stories and laughter with friends young and old. She led by example, and whenever she could, she returned to her beloved Cercepiccola.

She will be deeply missed, but she leaves us with a treasure of wonderful memories.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. David's Parish (2601 Major MacKenzie Drive West, Maple) on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Giuseppina's name to the Reena Foundation.
