Giuseppina Facchini

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest matriarch, Giuseppina Facchini, who passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 3, 2023.

Born to Domenico and Maria Domenica in Sora, Italy on January 23, 1948. Beloved wife of Casimiro for 59 wonderful years. Adored mother to Robert (Mylene), Anna (Wilson), and mother-in-law to Maria. Giuseppina is now reunited with her son Domenic, who predeceased her in 2002. Devoted Nonna to Madison, Paige, Christian and Michael. Cherished sister of Antonio.

Giuseppina was very kind-hearted. She was the rock and glue of her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren. She was considered a sister by her many friends. She was a phenomenal cook and enjoyed spending holidays cooking for her family.

Giuseppina was very fashionable, taking any chance she could to be glamorous. She had a keen eye for interior design, having great pride in her home and garden.

Our grief over losing her is infinite, and our loving memory of her will always remain in our hearts.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Sunday, April 9, 2023 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday, April 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church (100 Bainbridge Ave, Woodbridge) Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 9:30 a.m., with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Giuseppina's name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
