It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Giuseppina Brocca on April 16, 2026, at the age of 101, surrounded by the love of her family. A devoted Catholic, Giuseppina lived her life with deep faith, humility, and a steadfast love for God and her family.
Born on November 27, 1924, in San Quirino, Italy, in an era of horse-drawn carriages and handwritten letters, she witnessed a century of extraordinary change and met it all with resilience, grace, and quiet strength. Her life was a testament to perseverance, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Giuseppina was a cherished daughter of the late Alba Cattaruzza and late Guiseppe Venturin. She was the beloved wife of late Ugo Brocca and a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her family was the center of her life, and she was a guiding light to her family. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and comfort, where stories were shared, wisdom was passed down, and everyone was welcomed with open arms.
Throughout her long life, she carried herself with dignity and humility, finding joy in the simple things: a garden, a good meal shared, a familiar song, and the company of loved ones. Her gentle spirit and steady presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Giuseppina will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children Albert Brocca and Alba Brocca, grandchildren Andrew Caira (Vanessa Caira), great-grandchildren Olivia Caira and Luca Caira and friends. Though her family mourns her passing, they take comfort in the promise of eternal life and trust that she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord.
She now joins those who went before her, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and enduring memories. Though she will be deeply missed, her life will continue to inspire all of us.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
