Giovanni (Ninni) Balanzin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden death of Giovanni, of Toronto on July 1, 2015 at the age of 87. Dad passed away while vacationing in his beloved homeland; Mali Losing, Croatia (formerly Italy) on the Dalmatian Adriatic coast. Ninni was a devoted husband to Maria (nee Picinich) who passed away in 2012. Dad found it hard to live without his beloved “Maruci” and will be at peace now that they can be together again. Giovanni was a loving father to Marina Galli (Alberico) and fun loving nonno to Cassandra and Andrew Galli. Giovanni will be missed by his family in Canada and Croatia. A special thank you to his nephew Fredi Picinic for being his fishing buddy every summer and for helping us get dad back home. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Giovanni may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario at donorinfo@heartandstroke.ca
