Giovanna Di Venosa nee De Angelis

Giovanna DiVenosa, 93, passed away at 6:00pm on August 1st, 2016 at the hospital after a year of suffering. Giovanna was born on May 16, 1923 in Carbonara, Bari, Italy to Vincenzo DeAngelis and Amelia Buonpensiero. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 sisters and 7 brothers. On June 16, 1943 Giovanna married Giuseppe DiVenosa, who preceded her in death on May 9, 2008. Surviving are their children, Isabella Ferrara and Vincenzo DiVenosa. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Giovanna thought her greatest legacy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She lit up a room with her smile and laughter. She cooked with passion, showed her artistic side through sewing and crocheting and loved her family more than life.
