Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Friday, August 28, 2026, at the age of 94. Devoted husband of the late Adriana. Proud father of Enzo (Margaret), Lucy (Robert), Dina (Dave), Tony (Mary) and Carlo. Cherished Nonno of Kristofor (Andrene), Amanda, Mark (Analise), Nicole (Mark), Anthony (Daniela), Lukas, Jennifer, Michael (Sandy) and John. Loving Bisnonno of Nathan, Kristofor Jr., Ryan, Maximus, Matthew, Axavier, Emilia, Nelio, Tommy, Mattias, and Felix.

Gino will be sadly missed by his sister Angelina (Antonio), and all of his family and friends. He is now reunited with the love of his life, Adriana, and his beloved siblings Joe (Ida), Linda (Camillo) and Rolando (Patricia).

Born in the small quiet mountain town of Roccamorice, in the province of Pescara in the Abruzzo region of central Italy, Gino was the cherished son of Francesco and Lucia.

Gino came to Toronto, where he met the beautiful Adriana Cappola through mutual friends. From the moment he met her, Gino was taken by her beauty and knew that he wanted to make Adriana his wife. They were married for nearly 70 years. Together, they built a beautiful life and family that became Gino’s greatest source of pride and joy.

A successful builder and developer, Gino was a hard-working, and inspiring man who took great pride in everything he accomplished. His strong inner drive, determination and knowledge were an inspiration to his entire family. He loved his work and was a true leader in the office and on the construction sites.

Gino especially enjoyed his time at the farm, where he could proudly drive his treasured tractor and work the land. He also cherished time spent hunting with his good friends. Many wonderful memories were made gathered around the table, sharing a few drinks, good conversation and most importantly, many laughs.

Gino also had a musical side, expressing his talents through his love of the piano, organ and accordion. Music brought him great enjoyment and was another special part of his life.

Gino was an extraordinary man who carved his own path and created an extraordinary life for himself and his family. He has left an extraordinary legacy. He was an extremely generous man and a great provider.

Above all, Gino will be remembered for the love he had for his family, the life he built with Adriana, and the many memories he created with those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Forever loved, always remembered.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Parish (8500 Islington Avenue, Woodbridge) on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens.
