Peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday August 15, 2011 at the age of 79. Devoted husband of Maria. Proud father of George (Lidia), Laura (Renato Zanesco) and Joseph (Frances). Cherished nonno of Cristian, Eric, Nicholas, Emily, Thomas and Robert. Loving brother of Maria, Nico, Iole and Tony. Gildo will be sadly missed by many family and friends especially Giorgina, Sylvana (Dennis), Giulio (Susy), Carly, Jessica and Ryan. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard de Clairvaux (1789 Lawrence Ave. W. Toronto) on Thursday August 18th, 2011at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Sick Kids would be appreciated.
