Gertrude passed away peacefully in hospital on Jul-7-2024 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Loving wife of Otto and loving mother of Carola (George), Eric (Terri) and Mark (Rina) and loving Grandmother of six and Great Grandmother of two.

Born in Leutenbach, Germany, Gertrude came to Canada in 1957 to start a better life with Otto. Together they created a home filled with love and laughter. She enjoyed spending time with her family & friends and working in her garden. Her kindness and generosity extended beyond her family. She was known for her caring nature through her volunteer work in the hospital. Her gentle spirit and positive outlook on life touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
