The Lord in his infinite wisdom has called home our beloved Gert on Monday, September 29, 2014. Son of the late Abraham and Gerritje Stieva, husband of Christine, father of Gelinda (Gord) van Woudenberg, Marsha, Julie (Gerrit) Tamminga, Brant (Kathy) Stieva, Shawn (Mary) Stieva, and Sonja (Chris) Stieva. Grandfather of ten grandchildren. Brother of Eric, John, and Andy. Predeceased by brothers Len, Kees, and Peter and three grandchildren.
A heartfelt thank you to all the care he received during his illness.
Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel”, 52 Main Street South (Hwy 10), Brampton on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from_2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on
Friday, October 3, 2014 at Crosspoint Christian Reformed Church 444 Steeles Avenue, Brampton at 2:30 p.m.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brampton Civic Hospital Oncology Department would be appreciated.
