Cuthbert- Gerald Anthony (C.A.)
Passed away peacefully at Brampton Civic Hospital, Thursday August 4, 2011, in his 79th year. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Elizabeth Cuthbert, and his two brothers, Jack and Norman. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 55 years Victoria, son Christopher and his wife Diane, daughter Jane and her husband Stephen Fay, and loving grandchildren Jennifer, Justin Cuthbert and Keeley Fay. He is also survived by niece Linda McFarlane of Wasaga Beach and nephew James Cuthbert of Toronto.
A lifelong resident of Brampton, Gerald was a life member of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants, former Vice President and Executive Treasurer of the Independent Order of Foresters, served on the Board of Directors for Peel Memorial Hospital and Peel Memorial Hospital Foundation, served on the District Health Council and was the founding President of Probus Club of Brampton-Flowertown.
His many interests included travel, sports, model railroading, gardening and music. He was a member of the Christ Church Anglican choir for over 30 years.
The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Tall Pines Long Term Care.
The family will receive friends at Ward Funeral Home52 Main St. S. (Hwy #10) Brampton from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday August 9th 2011. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday afternoon August 10th 2011 at 1 p.m. at Christ Church Anglican 4 Elizabeth St. N. (at Queen St.) Brampton followed by cremation.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Brampton Civic Hospital or the Salvation Army would sincerely be appreciated by the family.
