Georgios Karvouniaris

Our loving grandfather, George Karvouniaris was born on February 18, 1932, in Levidi, Arkadias, Greece, a place that shaped his values, strength, and deep love for family and tradition.

In 1960, George left Greece in search of a better future. He settled in Toronto, where he built a life grounded in hard work, perseverance, and love alongside his devoted wife Stamata. Together, they created a future for their family, shaped by sacrifice, resilience, and deep commitment. He lived a life grounded in hard work, dignity, and devotion to those he loved. George carried his Greek roots proudly, passing down stories, wisdom, and traditions that will continue through generations.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Stamata Karvouniaris and his children, Vasiliki Kandelas, Haralambos Karvouniaris, and son in law Chris Kandelas. He was a loving brother of 5 to his predeceased siblings Alexis, Gianni, Panos, Tasia, and Panagiota in Greece. He was a loving grandfather whose presence brought comfort, guidance, and warmth to his grandchildren Georgina and Stamatoula and Great Grandchildren George, William and Christina. 

George will be remembered for his kindness, resilience, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and all who were blessed to know him.
