Unexpectedly, at her home on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Andrew Hughes. Loving mother of John, Carolyn (Peter Forde), Brenda (Peter King) and Susan (David Reimer). Cherished Buppa of Connor, Matthew (Melanie), Alison, Brian, Lydia and Philip. Dear sister of Phyllis, Dick, Norah and John. Predeceased by her son Andrew and by her brother George. Jean will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Avenue W) Weston on Sunday, April 17th from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Hilltop Chapel, 243 La Rose Avenue (West of Royal York Road) on Monday, April 18th at 1 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Salvation Army or Christian Children’s Fund of Canada would be appreciated.
