It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Genoveva Damaso on September 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. Genoveva passed away at the age of 68. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 50 years, Silvino, their three cherished children, Steven, Diane, and Patricia, and her treasured grandchildren, Mason, Dallas, and Layla.
Born on January 14, 1957, in São Miguel, Portugal, Genoveva later immigrated to Canada, where she and Silvino built a beautiful life together.
Genoveva lived a life dedicated to her family, her faith, and her friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, unwavering love for God, and devotion to those closest to her. She is now reunited with her beloved late parents, Serafina and Manuel, and her dear sister Ines.
Her greatest joy was being with her family, and she took immense pride in nurturing those around her. She and Silvino loved traveling back home to Portugal to visit family and friends, always cherishing those connections. Her life was filled with love, determination, laughter, and hard work. Her home was always warm and welcoming, often filled with the delicious aromas of her cooking and baking, prepared with the anticipation of having her family gathered around the table.
Genoveva’s love, warmth, and resilience will live on through the generations she nurtured, and her legacy will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her strong character, her generosity, and the immense love she shared with her family and friends.
