Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday October 2, 2015 at the age of 82. Devoted husband of Anna for 55 wonderful years. Proud father of Maria (Robert Memme), Domenico (Marjolaine) and Franco (Lisa). Cherished Nonno of Anthony, Kristina, Milena and Cassandra. He will be remembered for his gentle manner, positive attitude and loving spirit. Despite facing many challenges in life, he managed to persevere and never let it affect his outlook, always grateful for any and every little thing. He always had a smile on his face and was ready with a kind word for whoever he interacted with. Gennaro will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy. 7 (west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge, 905-851-9100, on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Roch’s Church,Islington Ave., Woodbridge, on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. As expressions of sympathy donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
