Gabriella Fogliato

With great love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Gabriella, who would have been 92 years old in December. She lived a very full and beautiful life with her devoted husband of 71 years, Arrigo. 

Together, they had three children: Gino (Mary), Linda (Richard) and Patricia (David); nine grandchildren: Stephen (Lindsey), Mark, Cayley (Ian), Joanna (Joel), Andrew (Amanda), Allie (Sal), Aidan, Liana and Francesca. They are also great-grandparents to thirteen great-grandchildren: Cadence, Kingston, Olivia, Hannah, Sebastian, Emma, Harper, Caius, William, Theodore, James, Aurelia and Gabriel. Their fourteenth great-grandchild will be born in January. 

Gabriella was born in Rome, Italy, and immigrated to Canada in 1949 with her family. She is predeceased by her parents, Vito and Severina Paganelli, as well as her brother Ralph, and sister Giulia. She is survived by her youngest sister, Victoria. 

Gabriella was a very dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. More than anything, she and Arrigo enjoyed spending time with their cherished family. They also enjoyed travelling and spent many wonderful years wintering in Florida. 

Gabriella will always be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Parish (8500 Islington Avenue) on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
