SHIELDS; Fredrick “Allen” ~ Suddenly on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 in Brampton, ON at the age of 77. Allen Shields was the beloved husband of Muriel Shields (nee Attaway). Loving father of Kevin (Joanne), Debbie Giles (Ed), Wayne (Glenda), Larry (Karen Reeves) and Bill (Kathy Bray). Cherished grandfather of Paul (Kayla), Melanie, Leanne (Nick), James (Leanne), Michael (Sarah), Tawnya (Adam), Allyson, Lauren, Victoria, Samuel, and Julia. Loving great grandfather of Caleb, Noah, Tayla and Reina. Dear brother of Loretta Montgomery (Jim), Glen (Eva), Lila Jarasunas (the late Victor), and Jay and brother in law to Frances Tonkin (Fred) and Pat Earl (Bill). Will be remembered by his aunt Maysel Perks and daughter in law Sonia. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (North of Lawrence Ave W.), Weston on Friday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm. A “Promoted to Glory” service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm from The Salvation Army York Community Church, 1100 Weston Rd., Toronto. Cremation to Follow. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society - Leukemia Multiple Myeloma Research would be greatly appreciated.
