Fred Straatsma
Fred Straatsma was born on January 4, 1930 in Rinsumageest, The Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1950.
Through the Church and the Young Peoples' group, he met Pat Adema. They married in 1955 and had five children: Andy (Rose Wells), Grace, Bruce✝️, Sharon (Henry Bergsma) and Helen (Will Bergsma), 13 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
Fred married Ann deVries in 1990 and inherited six more children, Jenny, Ralph (Sheila), Rita, Cris (Fred McCallum), Marg (Duncan dePeuter ✝️) and Jim, and eight grandchildren.
Fred lived a full life, worked hard, loved the Lord, and loved his family. His influence lives on and he will be dearly missed.
