It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Francesco “Ciccio” Tantalo, on February 18, 2026, at the age of 79.

Francesco was born on September 17, 1946, in Villevallelonga, Abruzzo, Italy, to Ferdinando and Maria Tantalo. He grew up surrounded by family and remained a devoted and cherished brother to Domenico, Leucio, Orazia, Cristina, and Antonino throughout his life.

He is now reunited with the love of his life, Dr. Jane Veronica Mannington, his devoted wife of 30 years. Francesco leaves behind his loving children, Nando and Katherine (Stephen), who will forever carry his strength and steady presence in their hearts. He was a proud and devoted nonno to James and Olivia, who brought immeasurable joy to his life.

Francesco was a quiet and strong-willed man whose actions spoke louder than words. He showed his love not through grand gestures, but through steadfast support, gentle guidance, and the reassuring comfort of simply being there. Whether he was playing cards with friends, watching horse racing and soccer or tending to his beloved vegetable garden, he found happiness in life’s simple pleasures.

Above all, he will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family and his quiet dignity.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. A private cremation will take place at a later date.
