Francesco Forestieri

Surrounded by his loving family, Francesco, 93, passed away peacefully on October 3rd, 2017. He has gone to be reunited with his recently departed wife, Lucia, who was the love of his life for the past 77 years. A loving papa to his children Anna (Donato), Armando (Palma), John (Ornella), Pia (Pat) and Silvana (Robert); a cherished nonno to his grandchildren, Robert, Diana (Lui), Lynda (Sam), Stephanie (Dave), Paul (Sonia), Lisa (Julian), Alessandra, Matthew (Mara), Stephen (Angela), Sara, Andrew and David; and a beloved bisnonno to his great-grandchildren Adamo, Samantha, Daniel, Luca, Sophia, Evelyn, Luca and Mattia, he will be forever missed but never forgotten. Francesco has now also been reunited with his dearly departed parents Giovanni and Pasqua and siblings Antonio, Salvatore, Vincenzo, Rosetta, and Giuseppina. He is fondly remembered for being a hard-worker and great provider for his family as well as for his amazing ‘green thumbs’ and beautiful garden, his love of wine, his warm-heartedness and his infectious laugh and smile.

Family and friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home located at 4671 Highway 7 in Woodbridge on Thursday October 5th from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. David’s Roman Catholic Church located at 2601 Major Mackenzie Dr. in Maple on Friday October 6th at 11am.
Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery located at 5830 Bathurst St. in North York.
