Francescina "Franca" Pietroniro

Pietroniro, Francescina (Franca) – peacefully on Saturday, February 07, 2015. Loving wife of the late Antonio (2002). Beloved mother of Joe and Ellen. Caring and generous Nonna to Aimee and Willem. Franca was born in Matrice, Italy on September 22, 1926. She came to Toronto in 1960 to carve a new life for herself and her family. She was a long time employee of Primo Foods Ltd. Franca’s passions were her garden, her cats, but most of all, her family. The Pietroniro family wishes to thank all the staff of Downsview Long Term Care Residential Facility for their professionalism, kindness and empathy. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Philip Neri Church, 2100 Jane Street on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
