Frances Elaine Lamb (nee Harrison), of Tkaronto/Toronto, passed away at home on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Frances (Fran) was born on June 7, 1947 to Keith and Leona Harrison and was a citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario.
A devoted and unwavering supporter of her husband Harvey, the two of them enjoyed traveling to many places across Canada and around the world together prior to the pandemic. As an adored mother and Granny she gave so much of herself and encouraged the family to be kind and loving through her warm personality and keen sense of humour.
Whether as a student, spouse, mother, grandmother or educator Fran was always at the top of the class. She was a teacher with the Waterloo Region District School Board and the Toronto District School Board and was a beloved supply teacher at Thorncliffe Park Elementary right up until her retirement in the fall of 2019.
An avid Blue Jays fan, Fran was often seen at the Dome cheering on her team and she also enjoyed attending theatre and comedy performances, open mics at the Free Times Cafe as well as catching up on the latest episodes of General Hospital. Fran is survived by her loving husband Harvey, her three children Aaron, Andrew and Ashley as well as their spouses Alison, Robert and Steve, her grandchildren Chloe and Logan and many beloved extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family is encouraging donations to Spinal Cord Injury Ontario in Fran’s name.
