Florence Elizabeth Joan "Betty" Chalk

Sadly, Florence Elizabeth Joan “Betty” Chalk (née Park), passed away on October 14th in her 94th year.

Betty was a registered nurse and a member of the 1954 graduating class of St. Joseph’s Hospital. This dedication to helping and caring continued in her devotion to family, friends and community.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years, Fred, in 2019; her parents, Violet and William (Al) Park; her brother, Burton Park; and her sisters, Louise McKibbon and Patricia Plummer.

Betty was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her sons and their families: Graham (Jennifer), and grandchildren Pyper and William; Geoffrey (April), and grandchildren Brittney and Connor; and Gordon (Karen), and grandchildren Sarah, Alan and Benjamin.

At Betty’s request, cremation will take place, followed by a private family graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. James the Apostle Church in Brampton, Ontario; the Civitan International Foundation of Canada Scholarship Fund; or a charity of your choice.
