Fernanda Bianca Leone

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Fernanda Leone while surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 28, 2018; at the age of 90. She is now reunited with her late husband Antimo Leone (1969). Beloved mother to Maria Luisa, Teresa (Xavier) and Frank (Anna). Loving grandmother to Jacqueline (Shawn), Cheryl (Sergio), Adam (Kristina), Melissa (Bryan), Amanda (Herberto), Stephanie (Roberto) and Xavier. Cherished great-grandmother to Sebastiano, Logan, Antimo, Kara, Mario, Amanda, Lorenzo, Olivia and Valentina. Dear sister to Edonita, Aldo and Elisa. Fernanda was an excellent baker and she was known for her tasty treats. She enjoyed playing bingo and had a great sense of humor - even if she had a habit of laughing before she could give the punch line of a joke. The sparkle in her eyes will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all of her family and friends. Visitation will take place at Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway #7) on Monday from 2-4 & 6-9 pm. A funeral Mass will take place at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church (3251 Weston Road, North York) on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Foundation would be appreciated.
