Mom peacefully passed away, surrounded by her loving family, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Saturday October 20th, 2012. Predeceased by her beloved husband Harry (2009). Mom of Lorne and his wife Darlene and Richard “Dick” and his wife Deb. Grandma of Andrew (Lara Ruggeri) and Samantha (Brad Boyle). Survived by her brother Roy (Josephine) Elliott. Fern will be dearly missed by family and friends. To all that knew her, she will always be remembered as optimistic, caring, strong as well as an avid bridge player. The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors in the dialysis unit at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.

Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Oakville Chapel”, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville on Tuesday from 4-7p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 23rd, 2012 in the chapel at 10:00a.m. Interment to follow at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
