Evgenia Ioannou

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Evgenia Ioannou on the 19th day of October, 2025.

Evgenia was born in Cyprus on July 1, 1937. At the age of seventeen she married her late husband Theodosis and together they had three sons;

Petros, Andreas and Vasos (predeceased). She emigrated to Canada with her husband and three sons in 1975 after the Turkish invasion made her a refugee.

She was faced with many challenges in her new country but her zeal to provide for her family and succeed was much bigger than any obstacle life threw at her.

She lived her life and raised her three sons with pride, dignity, integrity and values of the good human being that she was.

Family was her number one priority and she was ready, willing and able to go to any lengths to preserve it.

She was known by her friends as a strong woman with goodness and deep love in her heart. She was very proud of her roots and this is reflected by the family she raised.

She rarely missed a shopping expedition and she was known as a true fashionista within her group and everybody who knew her.

Evgenia was a devoted mother of three sons, a proud grandmother of four grand children and an over blessed great grandmother of four great grandchildren.

Her devotion to Christianity and the church has earned her a place in Heaven.

MAY SHE REST IN PEACE. She will be greatly missed.
