Peacefully on Monday, October 17, 2011. Ev Coates in his 93rd year, Cherished husband of Lyla Laverty, dearest dad of Everett [Rett] (Norma) and Mary Lou (Bill), dear “Pop” of grandchildren John Coates, Sandra (John) Lothian, Robert, Stephen, and Susan and wonderful Pop of great-grandchildren Kaleigh, Madison and Mackenzie Lothian and Madeleine, Cole and Jake. Dear brother of Jean Kohn, Norine Rundle, Roy, and Velma Lagerquist. Predeceased by his parents Gertrude and Albert Coates, his siblings Garnet, Illo Peardon, Hilda, Louvain, Lorne, Vera Payne and Harry (Duke). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews family and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, “Brampton Chapel” 52 Main Street South, (Hwy#10) Brampton on Thursday, October 20th from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Private service in the chapel on Friday, October 21st 2011. Followed by cremation with interment at the Brampton Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice.
