HARKNESS, EULALIA PAULINE (Bunny) (nee HEWER).July 30, 1927 - February25, 2023.
Passed away peacefully at Humber River Regional Hospital. Bunny will be remembered deeply and sorely missed by her son, Cam (Sharon); four grandchildren; Wesleigh (Eric) Carusi, Bradley (Christina), Amanda (Wayne) and Erika; 4 great-grandchildren; Cullen, Dylan, Shay and Sloane but they will take comfort knowing she has been reunited with her dear husband, Jim; her beloved son, Tim; and her loving parents Vera and Francis.
Bunny and Jim loved to travel. They spent summer holidays at their remote cabin north of Sudbury and in the winter months they were at their hideaway in Hawaii; always extending an invitation to family and friends to join them.
Bunnyhad many interests. She was a wonderful cook and chances were that she was always able to turn mealtime into something special. She was a voracious reader, an angler, loved to play bridge and euchre and was a dedicated fan of the Toronto Blue Jays. She was an active golfer and enjoyed her membership at Weston Golf and Country Club.
She adored both her grand and great-grandchildren. She looked forward to their visits. She had an amazing memory and told entertaining stories, sometimes with a hint of exaggeration.
Our sincere appreciation to the team at The Village at Humber Heights for their exceptional care and kindness. The family would also like to thank all who were involved with her care at Humber River Regional Hospital.
We shall cherish her and the beautiful memories we’ve made together. May she rest in peace and may her memory live on forever in our hearts. Bunny, may your next journey be nothing but beautiful. It’s time to rest.
At the family’s request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Sick Kids Foundation.
