Peacefully in her 85th year after a lengthy illness, Ermelinda Carmela was called back home to God on Sunday, August 28th, 2011 at the Humber River Regional Hospital. Cherished wife of 58 years to Rosario. Loving mother of Enrica (Pasquale Chieffallo), Francesco (Colomba) and John (Maria).Predeceased by daughter in law Patricia Joan Air and grandson Rosario Francesco. Adoring grandmother of Alfio (Linda), Jessica, Danny (Daniela), Michael, Carmela (Steve), Vittoria, Mark, and Pamela. Loving great grandmother to Matteo. The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to her sisters Elizabeth, Maria and Mafalda and the thoughts and prayers of brother Giacomo as well as Dr. Krajewski and staff at H.R.R.H-Finch Site. She has touched many lives and will be missed by many family and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7 (west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge, 905-851-9100, on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Wilfrid’s Church 1675 Finch Ave. W, on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 10am. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
