Eric Rees, aged 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday at Bethell Hospice in Caledon, Ontario.  

Born in Cardiff, Wales, he later made the journey to Canada in 1967 with his beloved wife, Mary, and their young son, Phil, beginning a new chapter far from home. Canada became the place where he built his life, raised his family, and put down lasting roots.  He was a devoted husband to Mary for 68 years, a proud father to his only son, Phil, and a loving father-in-law to Rosemarie. He was also a cherished grandfather to his two grandchildren, Melanie and Michael, who brought him great pride and happiness. He will be remembered for his kindness, gentle nature and the quiet dignity. He had a well-lived life surrounded by love and laughter. 

The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff at Bethell Hospice for their compassion and care during his final days as well as Dr. Michael Miletin and Dr. Anastasia Prokubovskaya.

He will be deeply missed.
