Emma Bracciale

Our dear Nonna, Emma Bracciale gracefully and peacefully, passed away on February 3, 2023, at the age of 101. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother who was always there with strength, encouragement and a delicious bowl of pasta. Emma was born to Nicola Emma and Rosa Emma (Bubbico) in Basilicata, Montescaglioso, Italy. She married in 1945 and immigrated to Canada in 1954 with her husband and daughter.

She made friends easily, was a well-loved member of her neighbourhood and was known for her beautiful flower gardens. She was an independent and hard working fashionista, who loved opera, watching the news, Italian soccer and going on adventures with her Granddaughter.

Emma was one of ten children and will be reunited with her siblings Giuseppe, Lucia, Maria, Domenico, Mauro, Dolorosa, Anna, Gemma and Francesco, husband Francesco and daughter Annette.

She will always be loved, remembered and terribly missed by her Granddaughter Leanne (Gordon) Cherry, Great Grandchildren, Blake and Tristan, her son in law Leslie (Lesia) and many other friends and family members. Riposa in pace.

La nostra cara Nonna, Emma Bracciale con grazia e serenità, è morta il 3 febbraio 2023, all'età di 101 anni. Era una madre e una nonna meravigliosa che era sempre lì con forza, incoraggiamento e un delizioso piatto di pasta. Emma era nata da Nicola Emma e Rosa Emma (Bubbico) in Basilicata, Montescaglioso, Italia. Si sposò nel 1945 ed emigrò in Canada nel 1954 con il marito e la figlia.

Faceva amicizia facilmente, era una persona molto amata del suo quartiere ed era conosciuta per i suoi bellissimi giardini fioriti. Era una fashionista indipendente e laboriosa, che amava l'opera, guardare il telegiornale, il calcio italiano e andare all'avventura con sua nipote.

Emma era una di dieci figli e si riunirà con i fratelli Giuseppe, Lucia, Maria, Domenico, Mauro, Dolorosa, Anna, Gemma e Francesco, il marito Francesco e la figlia Annette.

Sarà sempre amata, ricordata e terribilmente mancata da sua nipote Leanne (Gordon) Cherry, dai pronipoti, Blake e Tristan, da suo genero Leslie (Lesia) e da molti altri amici e familiari. Riposa in pace.
