ADAMO, Emilia Amy
Amy passed away peacefully just 20 days shy of her 46th birthday at Mackenzie Palliative Care Unit on Monday July 7, 2014 after her courageous battle with cancer. She died surrounded by her loving family, cousins, uncle and extended family. She will be reunited with her loving parents Maria Rosa and Giuseppe Adamo. Amy is survived by her brother Rosario (Ross), sister Giuseppina (Josie), sister in law Donna, brother in law Reno and five nieces/nephews, Joseph, Diana, Anthony, Jessica, Robert. Amy will be lovingly remembered as a kind and gentle soul devoted to her parents and family. Amy blessed all of her family’s lives and dedicated herself to the care of her parents. She was adored by her nieces and nephews who would devour Amy’s amazing baked goods at any opportunity especially Amy’s scrumptious cookies. Amy especially loved to travel and sightsee with trips to Italy, the Caribbean and her most recent trip to the US eastern seaboard with her sister Josie. Amy will be sadly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Family and friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway 7 (just west of Pine Valley Drive), Woodbridge on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church, 8500 Islington Ave, Woodbridge, ON L4L 1X4 on Friday July 11th at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers donations to the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
