DOHERTY, Ellen “Nell”
Peacefully on April 10, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of Michael (Mickey) for 61 years. Cherished mother of Sean and Paula. Nell was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and immigrated to Canada in 1955. Nell was active in the Irish community in Toronto and Brampton. She taught Irish Dance with her daughter Paula and was very proud of the many Irish dance costumes she designed and made over the years. Nell loved to help others and be involved in her community. Her smile and energy would always brighten the day. Nell’s family would like to thank all the staff at the Alzheimer’s Society of Peel Brampton Day Program. Their love, support and smiles made all our days brighter. Nell will be sadly missed, never forgotten and always in our hearts.
Family and Friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main Street South, Brampton on Monday April 17, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-9 pm. A Funeral service will be held Tuesday April 18, 2017 at 11 am in the Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
