1935-2015

Betty passed away very peacefully with her family by her side at the Village of Humber Heights in Weston this past Thursday, December 17, 2015. LOVED SISTER of - BRIDGET - JAMES - JOHN - HUGH - & - May. Also an AMAZING AUNT & GREAT AUNT to a raft of proud nieces and nephews, way too many to mention – You all know who you are. Betty spent her 35 year career as an “OLD TIME “school Teacher - & - RESPECTED Guidance Counselor in the Catholic Separate School System (there was no time clock in Betty’s world ). She was blessed with all the tools, but mostly HEART. She sincerely made a positive difference in so many young people’s lives throughout her dedicated career. She SPIRITUALLY refocused hundreds of kids that may have been heading down the wrong path.
Much appreciation and sincere Thanks from our family to the very special care givers and administrative staff at the Village of Humber Heights for the past 11 years while she was a resident.
Family, Friends, and Former Students are invited to visit at Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd., (North of Lawrence Ave. W, in the Village of Weston) this Sunday, December 20th, from 2-4 & 6-9pm. Special prayers for Betty will be said at 3pm. Please join us if you can.
A Funeral Mass Celebration will held at St. John the Evangelist Church, 49 George St., ( in the Village of Weston ) - This coming Monday, December 21st at 10:30am.
Betty loved flowers - However - In lieu of flowers - Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family – Lets find a cure for this terrible disease !!!
