It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025 at the age of 97. Devoted wife of Vincenzo for 72 wonderful years. Proud and loving mother of Vito (Doreen) and Janet (Luigi Tucci). Cherished Nonna of Emanuele, Gianluca and Teresa. Loving sister-in-law of the late Bettina (Augusto Rosati) the late Olga (Carmine Tarquinio), the late Antonio and Maria and the late Camillo DiTomasso. She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends.
Elisabetta has been reunited with her loving parents Carmine and Teresa, her in-laws Vito and Chiara, siblings Gemma, Domenico (Luigina), Ada (Michele Calcagni). She is survived by her loving sister Anna DiBattista.
Family was very important to Elisabetta. She was deeply loved and will be forever missed by her many family and friends.
Born in Castiglione a Casauria, Pescara, Italy in 1928. Elisabetta married her elementary school sweetheart, Vincenzo Brandolini. In 1953 they immigrated to Canada aboard the Andrea Doria. Together they built a home and family rooted in love, faith and hard work.
She shared her kindness generously with all who knew her. With her creative talent as a seamstress, she could transform a torn magazine clipping into a stunning designer outfit. Her creativity also filled the home with handmade curtains, pillows, blankets, coats and hats. Her faith was her guiding light, with her rosary offering her comfort and strength throughout life’s journey. She expressed her love through food and cooking, making sure loved ones were not only well taken care of, but well fed. Her siblings held an irreplaceable place in her heart, and their bond remained unbreakable. Through the most challenging times, her resilience shone brightly, offering comfort and strength to those around her. Above all, her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved them with all her heart, and they loved her endlessly in return.
The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the staff at AgeCare Pine Grove for their amazing care, patience and warmth.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge (just west of Pine Valley Dr.) on Friday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday August 23, 2025 at 9:30 am at St. Peter’s Church 100 Bainbridge Ave., Woodbridge.
