Elisa Stabile

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest Elisa Stabile on February 4, 2023. She has joined her loving husband the late Pietro Stabile whom she was married to for nearly 60 years. Loving mother of Josie (Joe). Adored grandmother of Sara, Nicholas, Alexander & Christian. She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, and nephews.

Elisa enjoyed her retirement with her beloved Pietro. Together they travelled the world, and had many hobbies, they loved playing bocci, tending to their fruit and vegetable garden, her home-made meals were second to none. Her family has many fond memories around the dinner table enjoying Sicilian seafood couscous among many other delicious meals.

Her home was the central location for those near and dear to gather. Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her loved ones, family dinners were an especially important time to her. She dedicated herself to her family, raising her four beloved grandchildren who were her pride and joy.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church (8500 Islington Ave., Woodbridge) on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

She lived each day to its fullest and represented all that is good in life. She will be forever loved and sorely missed.
