Elena Pupolin

It is with immense sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved daughter, sister, and friend Elena Pupolin, with family by her side at Humber River Hospital on Friday, October 17, 2025.

Loving daughter of Vilma and the late Peter. Loving sister of Anna (Anthony) and Joseph (Anita). Loving Zia to Maddie. Elena will be forever missed by all her family and friends, whose lives she touched and to whom she brought unending caring and laughter.

Those who knew Elena will attest to her greatest passions. She loved to read, and her voracious literary appetite encompassed all manner of books and authors. This passion fueled her amazing wit and playful sarcasm, with her wonderful one-liners that brought laughter to so many that knew her.

She loved music and loved going to concerts; she and her oldest friend Michelle would enthusiastically see Stereophonics at every opportunity. Elena was a particular admirer of Canadian artists such as Leonard Cohen and The Tragically Hip and was also a lifelong patron of Canadian indy bands.

She enjoyed travelling, and soaked up the culture, history and cuisine wherever she went. She was also a great cook, and we will always remember her legendary pizza-making skills.

Elena was the best daughter, sister and friend that anyone could ever hope for. Words cannot express how much we will miss her, and how fortunate we will forever feel to have had her in our lives.

Rest in peace, dearest Elena.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Weston Area Emergency Support (WAES) or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated in Elena’s memory.
