With amazing grace and courage at home, on Tuesday September 1, 2015, at the age of 75, beloved wife of the late Nicola, cherished mother of Joe, Franca, and Tony (Michelle), devoted Nonna to Michael, Laura, Cristina, Samantha, Nicolas, and Lucas. She will be deeply missed by her brothers and sisters, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
The family will receive friends at theWard funeral home,Woodbridge at 4671 HWY 7 (west of Pine Valley), on Thursday September 3 from 7-9pm, Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Benedict Catholic Church, at 2494 Kipling Ave. on Saturday at 10am, with entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens. Donations to the Diabetes Association of Canada would be appreciated by the family in memory of Elena.
The family would like to take this opportunity to express heartfelt thanks and appreciation to both the peritoneal dialysis team, at the Humber River Hospital (Keele Site) and the St. Elizabeth’s nurses for their tremendous kindness, compassion and dedication.
