It is with great sadness that the family announces Eleanor’s passing in her 91st year on December 10, 2011 at Peel Manor, Brampton, ON. Pre deceased by her husband John, Eleanor will lovingly be remembered by her children Anne Marie (Peter), Mike (Laura), Sam (Nancy), Frank (Jenny), Andy and June (Ted) along with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Born on Prince Edward Island, the loving daughter of Mary Teresa (Aylward) and Charles Leo McInnis. Eleanor shared many happy memories of her childhood. She will be sadly missed by her PEI family, brothers Peter and Albert and her nieces and nephews. A longtime resident of Brampton, Eleanor will be remembered for her beautiful smile and gentle manner by her family and friends. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff and residents at Peel Manor (especially the Blue Jay section) whose kindness and thoughtfulness in the care of their Mother is greatly appreciated.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel”, 52 Main Street South (Hwy 10), Brampton on Thursday December 15 from 2-4 and 7-9.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday December 16 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 66A Main Street South, Brampton. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
