MAHERAS, Efrosyni (nee Miliaris) - February 24, 1947 to January 2, 2012- Efrosyni passed away gracefully and peacefully in the loving arms of her family. Loving Wife of 38 years of Leonidas, dear Mother of Jerry and Pauline, Bessie and Billy, and Len and Francis. Adoring Grandmother of Alexis, Ariana and Andrew. Efrosyni joins her beloved Mother Konstantina, Father Lambros, and Brother Georgios in Heaven. Efrosyni lived a life of sincerity, integrity and relentless love and care of her family. Into her heart and extended family, she easily welcomed new family members, always expressing interest in their lives and welfare. In spite of her illness, she persevered to see the last of her children married. With the marriage of all three children and the birth of three grandchildren, she left nothing undone in this Life and has moved on to shine down on her Family from above. Efrosyni is survived by her three brothers, Constantinos and Maria, Alec and the late Gladys, and Dimitrios and Fotini, as well as her sister-in-law Angeliki and Georgios, brother-in-law George, and many nieces and nephews who each enjoyed their own special relationship with their beloved Aunt. Efrosyni is also predeceased by sister-in-law Panagiota and brother-in-law Alekos who are with her Mother-in-law Vasiliki and Father-in-law Argiris in Heaven. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7 (west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge, 905-851-9100, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Annunciation of The Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Catherdral 136 Sorauren Ave. Toronto, on Thursday January 5th 2012 at 1 pm.
