Retired 35 year employee of Ministry of Transportation – Municipal Roads Dept. Peacefully at his home in Toronto on Saturday September 8, 2012 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Doreen for 57 years. Loving father of Derrick (Lori), Dennis, Eddy (Pauline), Wayne (Susie), Paul (Cindy), and Wendy (Leo O’Connor). Cherished poppa of Derrick, Amber, Leanne, Nicole, Erin, Rebecca, Jesse, Candice, Zachary, Christopher, Chelsea, Shane, Dylan, Ryan, Shawn. Great-grandpa of Hunter, Hailey, and Brayden. Survived by his sisters Mary (Bill Ennis), Sister Theresa, and by his brothers Brother Michael, Les (Irene). Edward will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church (80 Shoreham Dr.) on Wednesday September 12, 2012 at 10 am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Thornhill.
