Edward "Eddie" Shakes

Edward “Eddie” Shakes – after a long and courageous battle with cancer - passed away on September 14, 2018 at the age of 74. Loving father to Yvette, the late Conrad, Troy, Gillian, the late Steve, Paul, Kerry, Susan, Howard, Mark, Donovan, Jennifer, Natalie, Andrea, Nicole, Sonya, Teshawna, Neshaw and Ruth. Eddie is the beloved grandpa to his grandchildren which he adored dearly. Cherished brother of the late Dorothy, Rudolph, Astley, Merline, Daisy, Eric, the late Elaine and Evelyn. He will be forever loved and fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 2035 Weston Road(north of Lawrence Ave) Weston, on Thursday from 7-9 p.m and Friday from 3-4 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 4 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Prostate Cancer Canada would be greatly appreciated.
