DOUGLAS WILLIAM RUSHFORTH After a long and fruitful life, Douglas William Rushforth left us peacefully on the morning of July 28, 2011 at the age of 94. Predeceased by his wife Helen Isobel (nee Dickey). Loving father of Karen (Terry), Barbara (Ted), Chris (Kim) and Kevin (Jenny). Proud grandfather of Sean, Callista, Dylan, Simon, Sarah, Sami, Liam and Callum. Survived by his little sister Thora. Doug had a long career as a chartered accountant in the government sector and in private industry. He was a tireless volunteer with Scouting, the Optimist Club of Etobicoke and others. A huge thanks to the wonderful staff at the Village of Humber Heights for their loving care of "Daddio". Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave. W.), Weston, 416-241-4618, on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Please call funeral home for service time.
