Douglas D. Perkins
Doug passed away peacefully from old age, in his sleep, on March 23, 2016, following a brief decline. Devoted husband of Marjorie (nee Keith), father of Suzanne (Canmore, AB) and grandfather of Sophie (Vancouver) and Peter (Airdrie, AB). Doug was proud to be a World War II veteran and D-Day survivor, later participating in the liberation of Holland. He was riding his bicycle until age 92. In keeping with his wishes, there is no funeral or visitation. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the Salvation Army appreciated.
