Douglas John Bolton

Ecclesiastes 11:9

"Rejoice, O young man, in thy Youth"

It is with Heavy hearts that the Bolton family announce the passing of Douglas John Bolton {Doug} on Saturday, May 10th, 2025. Doug was born at Toronto Grace Hospital to his Parents, John and Joan on the 17th of February, 1950. He is survived by his wife Marion, the eldest of his three brothers Paul, Bruce, Ken and his sister Ruth, Brother in-law to Mark {Deceased}, Liane and Ingrid. Father of two sons, Kevin and Keith, Grandfather {Poppa} of four to Dylan, Ethan, Abby, and Brooke, Father in-law to Mary. Uncle to John, Esther, Paul Jr., Elizabeth, Christian, Valentina and Great Uncle to baby Monica.

Doug grew up in the community of Oak Ridge's better known to many as the Town, now City of Richmond Hill. He attended King City High School and could always be remembered by his peers as a great student. Throughout his life he could be credited with many accomplishments such as working for big Pharmaceutical Companies like Ciba Gagi & Trans-Canaderm. He completed a college certificate in Landscape Architecture and had a successful business in the Windsor area throughout the 1980's, sentimentally named for all of us as "Bolton Landscaping". Later in life he pursued careers in both Real Estate and Pharmaceuticals having relocated to his beloved adopted country the United States of America.

As Doug reached his 75th birthday, although always up for another road trip or visit with the family, he was suffering from a few ailments. In the end, we believe he was actually suffering a lot more than he cared to let on, but it never stopped him from doing what he loved most, being with his family. Doug succumbed to a stroke which induced a heart attack, believed to have been related to a similar but minor neurological episode 20 years earlier.

Doug Bolton was a very kind and generous man especially to those he loved and held dear. He was well known for his wild comedic sense of humor, crazy jokes and one-liners! To those of us who loved him most he was referred to and will always be remembered as nothing less than a legend! On behalf of the Bolton Family, we thank you all for your kind words and gestures of love and support. To those of you who knew him well, the family sends our condolences to you with love and thanks.

A Celebration of Life for Doug will be held at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
