May 2, 1927 – January 24, 2019
Peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family and by her wonderful caregivers, Dorothy left to be with the Lord. Beloved wife of the late Silvio Louis Vettese. She was the proud mother of 7 children: Grant, Victor (predeceased), Sirah (Michael Wise), Serena ( Pat Dilillio predeceased), Michael (Georgia Moore), Mitchell (Jane Poulton), Neta (Tom Wills predeceased). Throughout the years, Dorothy’s home was a gathering place for her 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, her 3 great grand children and for the rest of her family, along with countless friends. She was an accomplished water color artist, incredible cook, caring friend and committed Mother. Dorothy loved life, people and adventure, but most of all her family. Visitation will take place at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway #7, Woodbridge, Ontario ( just west of Pine Valley Drive) on Monday January 28, 2019 from 2 pm – 4pm and from 7pm to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday January 29, 2019, at 10:00 am at St. Margaret Mary Church (8500 Islington Avenue, Woodbridge , Ontario). Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
