Dorothy Hughes

Hughes, Dorothy Isabella (nee Shand), a long-time resident of Oakville, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015. Dorothy attended Weller Secretary College and worked for the founder of Anchor Cap until his retirement. She then became an Executive Secretary at Ford for 25 years until her retirement in 1986. Dorothy loved to golf, garden and you could always find her watching her soap operas. Predeceased by her husband Ray (1980), Anne Collier (sister, 1996); and John Shand (brother, 1987). Services will be held at Ward Funeral Home “Oakville Chapel” 109 Reynolds St., Oakville on Saturday, October 10, 2015 (Today) at 10am. Interment will be at Prospect Cemetery (Toronto) following the reception. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
